Chamber Announces Cherokee Challenge Winners

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce held its second, annual Cherokee Challenge on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce held their 2nd Annual Cherokee Challenge on Thursday, October 6th with the event kicking off at the Chamber's monthly Good Morning Cherokee networking event. Eighteen two-person teams participated in this amazing race style event that involved teamwork, physical skill, mental toughness, networking and fun!

"The teams solved clues in order to travel to various destinations in the county where they participated in a variety of events that required both mental and physical aptitude. I had the opportunity to volunteer at one of the destinations where it was evident that the competitive spirit was alive and well,"said Chamber Chairman Steve Garrison, Owner of Canton Tire & Wheel.

Winning teams in this year's competition included: First Place - “The Oak Leaf Boys” sponsored by Oak Leaf Church and represented by Will Goodwin & Kyle Frantz. Second Place - “Numberjacks” sponsored by North GA CPA Services, P.C. and represented by Jamie Pritchett & Amy Hall. Third Place - “The Trip Station” sponsored by The Trip Station and represented by Shane Daniel & Cheri Collett. A People's Choice award was given for the best dressed team as all teams are required to wear costumes for uniforms. This year's audience favorite was "Wire We Here? To Win!" sponsored by Roytec Industries, LLC and featuring Avery Jackson and Casey Cannady.

All teams received "I Survived the 2016 Cherokee Challenge" t-shirts which were sponsored by Sold by Julianne - Keller Williams Realty and Dyer & Rusbridge, P.C.. Snack bags, sponsored by Cobb EMC, were provided to each participate.
