Cherokee County School District Announces National Merit Commended Students
Thirteen high school seniors were named National Merit Commended Students for high PSAT scores.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA - Thirteen Cherokee County School District high school seniors have been named National Merit Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation!
This recognition is based on the high scores the students earned on the PSAT. Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses that will be awarded in the spring.

They are: of Creekview HS, Josh McFarlin; of Etowah HS, Brandon Baker, Nathan Baker, Kelsey Durick, Mallory Gilmer, Bobby Kutschke, Sindhu Manivannan; of River Ridge HS, Brad Burke, Cassidy Kantoris, Alex McMath; of Sequoyah HS, Yejin Heo, Kat Massengale, Isabelle Riddle, Brittany Wallace; and of Woodstock HS, Joshua A. Thrift.
