- Cherokee County Emergency Management is advising that we are under a heat advisory until Monday morning. Keep your cool water handy, it's important to stay hydrated. Take lots of breaks if you're outside this weekend, and wear sunscreen. It's never a great idea to leave a pet or person in an unattended car, but it's especially important during warm or hot weather to check and double check before walking away from the vehicle. Take it slow and easy, neighbors, and keep the pets in the air conditioning, in shaded areas and with plenty of water. (Cherokee County Emergency Management via Facebook)
