  1. The North Georgia Health District is offering "drive-thru" flu shots on Oct. 4. Residents can receive their flu shot in their car from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 at the Cherokee County Health Department in Woodstock. (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News)
  2. On Thursday, Sep. 1, Roberto Pena, of Canton, was arrested and charged with child molestation. Pena allegedly sexually abused and exploited a six-year-old child between 2019 and 2021. (NewsBreak)
  3. On Aug. 27, 21-year-old Camren Fambrough of Canton was arrested and charged with carjacking with a weapon, burglary, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of carjacking with a weapon. His arraignment will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Sep. 23, at the Manatee County Judicial Center. (Islander)
  4. According to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, the northbound lane of Reinhardt College Parkway at Land Road was shut down yesterday, Sep. 6, due to a three-vehicle accident. No further information was released as of Tuesday evening. (Cherokee Sheriff's Office)

  • Yesterday, Sep. 6, the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire on Vaughn Road near Clifford Court. Firefighters were able to put out the fire and no one was hurt. (Facebook)
