Dumpster Day On Oct. 6 In Canton
Canton residents can dispose of trash and certain unwanted items Saturday, Oct. 6 at the city's Municipal Court Building.

CANTON, GA — The city of Canton's popular Dumpster Days initiative will return on Saturday, providing you with another opportunity to clear out clutter in your living spaces.
Dumpster Days is a great way for city residents to dispose of trash, various unwanted items and recycle many electronics free of charge. The next installment of Dumpster day is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Canton Municipal Court Building at 151 Elizabeth Street.
Canton residents are asked to bring proof of residency when dropping off items, as this initiative is for city dwellers only (click here to see if you live in the city limits).

Item that will be accepted by the city include computers laptops, gaming console systems, VCR/DVD players, stereo equipment, vacuum cleaners, microwave/toasters/toaster ovens, hair dryers/curling irons, tools, wires and cables, phones (cellphones & home phone systems), printers/fax machines, washers/dryers, dishwashers and other home appliances (excluding refrigerators), sofas and mattresses and dry paint.

- CRT TV or monitor (Old style tube TV's or computer monitor)
- Refrigerators
- Fuel tanks
- Motor oil
- Fuel drums
- Household hazardous waste
- Antifreeze
- Wet paint
- Paint thinners
- Pesticides
- Pool chemicals
- Commercial waste
