  1. Six members of Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services completed their certification as Emergency Response Divers, Level 1, last week. The firefighters, who are working to become certified Public Safety Divers, trained at both the Cherokee County Aquatic Center and Lake Allatoona. The team's advanced certification and technical training will help the county conduct underwater search and recovery operations more effectively, assist law enforcement with underwater evidence collection, and contribute to water safety awareness events.   2. Cherokee County law enforcement ofhttps://l.facebook.com/l.php?u...ficers arrested a Stockbridge man for allegedly trafficking cocaine in nearby Woodstock. On Sep. 7, 46-year-old Andrew Paul Lyons was found in possession of multiple narcotics, including 32 grams of cocaine, eight grams of MDMA, 18 grams of marijuana, and various other substances.   3. Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and Safe Kids Cherokee County are partnering to host Tailgate With A Firefighter on Saturday, Oct. 8. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. at The Mill on Etowah and will include fire trucks, games, and a "Dress Like a Firefighter" contest.
