Funeral On Thursday For Canton Teen Killed In Wreck
Tyler Jordan Land, 17, died late last week in a single vehicle crash along Ball Ground Highway north of Canton.

CANTON, GA -- The funeral for the Canton teenager who died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash will be held on Thursday.
Friends and family will bid farewell to Tyler Jordan Land, 17, at noon Thursday, April 6 at Birmingham United Methodist Church.
Land's family will accept visitors from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Darby Funeral Home.

The teenager from Canton was the passenger in a vehicle that left the roadway and crashed head-on into a tree, Sgt. Marianne Kelley told Patch.
Deputies were dispatched during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 1 to Ball Ground Highway near Evergreen Road, which is north of Fate Conn Road near Canton. A preliminary investigation reveals the vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee driven by 20-year-old Tyler Callahan of Jasper, veered off the two-lane highway and collided with a tree, the agency previously reported.

Land was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Callahan was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
According to his obituary, Land is survived by parents, Gordon and Debra Land of Canton; sister, Erica Land of Canton; grandfather, Donald Land of Duluth; grandfather, John Summerour of Marietta; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
