According to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, White was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 around 7 a.m. March 24 when the truck veered into the median and traveled through a construction zone just north of the bridge.

The truck then hit a gravel embankment, which caused it to "become airborne and it traveled between the northbound and southbound bridges before coming to (a) rest next to Little River," the agency previously told Patch.

White enjoyed teaching chorus, loved music, theater, and his family and was an "avid" Disney fan, his obituary notes.

Along with his employment as a chorus teacher at E.T. Booth Middle School in Woodstock, White also was a member of the Cherokee Chorale and the Praise Band at Canton First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by wife, Courtney White; daughter, Piper Olivia White; parents, Angie (Marcus) Fox and Jerry (Pam) White; sister, Hilary White; grandfather, the Rev. John Ozley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray (Corrine) Hendrix; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks the community to bring pictures of White to the visitations. They also ask that any contributions be made to the funeral home, which will be forwarded to a fund set up for White's daughter.
