According to the National Weather Service forecast for Canton, Independence Day on Thursday will see an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the mid-80s.
The forecast for the 4th follows a 40-to-60 percent chance of storms on Tuesday and Wednesday, and showers and heavy rainfall predicted for Monday evening after 5 p.m.
