  1. The Canton Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating John Waller, 62. Waller was last seen three weeks ago. He spoke to his family months ago and his last known law enforcement contact was in June. At this time the department doesn't know what clothing he is wearing nor his location.   2. Join Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services this Friday for a hot dog fundraiser at the Cherokee Senior Center in Canton! All proceeds will be used to purchase box fans and window AC units for local seniors in need. The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services via Facebook)

  5. Family and friends are mourning the passing of Navy Veteran Peter Valdes of Canton. He passed away on Aug. 20, 2022, at the age of 82.
