- Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies arrested 63-year-old David McConnell and charged him with simple assault for yelling racial slurs towards a truck driver outside a Cherokee County McDonald's on Bells Ferry Road. The incident was caught on video and McConnell was booked into the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- A new 24-hour gym and fitness center has opened in Canton. The aptly-named Workout Anytime, open 24/7, is located at 1449 Riverstone Parkway, Suite 109. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News)
- Georgia resident Ron Tripodo is speaking out against the New Jersey chapter of the National Education Association for using a photo of him out of context. The photo was used in an advertisement on "extremist" parents in the Garden State. The photo was originally from a school board meeting in Cherokee County on critical race theory. Tripodo said, "I'm very concerned for my safety. I wouldn't say that 20 years ago, but today people are crazy. Who knows what they'll do?" (Yahoo News)
