- Recently, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the removal of QR codes from ballots. Instead of QR codes, voters will view readable ballots before they are cast. The commissioners must get approval from the Georgia General Assembly, Secretary of State, and State Elections Board. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- On Sep. 20, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed annual budget for the next fiscal year. The budget proposal is $361.4 million. (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)
- Thursday, Sep. 15, at 6:00 p.m., the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities and members of the Georgia Developmental Disabilities Network will host a COVID-19 webinar about vaccines for children ages six months and older.
