  1. The Sequoyah Regional Library System (SRLS) announced that library card holders will be able to check out an "Experience Pass" to the Cherokee County History Center soon. The History Center has six galleries telling the story of Cherokee County through the years. The passes will cover admission for up to four people, and they'll be available starting on June 19. Other available passes offer free or discounted tickets to the aquarium, zoo, parks, the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the Macon, Breman and Carlos museums, and the Center for Puppetry Arts.   2. Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services welcomed Lt. Dave Burnaugh back to work this week. Burnaugh, who has been with the department for 16 years, has been battling cancer for the past 10 months. He fell ill suddenly while on duty, diagnosed with a stage 3 astrocytoma brain tumor and a stage 1 kidney tumor, but after going through upwards of thirty rounds of radiation, surgeries for tumors in his brain and kidney and chemotherapy, Burnaugh is now cleared for duty and back with his CCFES family.   3. A black 2018 Mercedes GLE35 was stolen in Marietta on June 12 and ended up on fire in Cherokee County later that night. Firefighters were called out to a vehicle fire on I-575 northbound just after midnight, a sheriff's deputy saw it while driving on the highway. There were no occupants found at the scene and no injuries reported. The incident is under investigation, if you have any information, please contact the Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services investigators at 678-493-4197.   • BridgeMill Farmers Market: The market is open to all and will take place every Wednesday until November. The neighborhood is located at 1190 Bridge Mill Avenue, the market is next to the playground. (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
  • Teen Book Club: For teen library members only. This month, the group will be talking about "One of Us is Lying," by Karen McManus. The club will be using a hybrid format, online and in person.   • Ribbon Cutting - Boling Park Mural: The latest mural, "Unite," was created on the surface of the Boling Park basketball court by artist Rob Walker-Bunda. The ribbon cutting will be held at 1200 Marietta Highway, and the artist will be at the event to talk about the design and vision behind the mural. (5 - 6 p.m.)
  • Marty Manous: Enjoy live music and great food tonight at J. Michael's Prime, 110 Mountain Vista Blvd. (6 - 8 p.m.)
  • Wild Wednesday Trivia Night: Head over to Canton Cigar Co. for their weekly trivia night at The Mill on Etowah, 225 Reformation Parkway. (7 p.m.)
  • Screen on The Green - "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days": Tonight's movie will be showing on The Green at The Mill on Etowah, 255 Reformation Parkway. Next week's movie is "Happy Feet." (7 - 9 p.m.)
  • Cowboys and Angels: Throw on your best western threads for Country & Western Wednesdays at Canton Icehouse, 150 Keith Drive. Happy hour starts at 4 p.m., the music starts at 8 p.m. with DJ Tammy. (8 p.m.)

  • I know it's Father's Day this weekend, but nobody says you can't treat yourself to something nice.
