Suspected Gang Members Stole Over 12 Guns From Cars: Report

A report says police believe suspected gang members got into over 70 cars and stole over a dozen guns.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — A string of burglaries to vehicles affected at least 70 cars and trucks in Cherokee County, according to a report. WSB reported Cherokee authorities as saying the suspects, believed to be gang members, aren't looking for money—they're looking for guns.

And they've gotten over a dozen guns from cars in three neighborhoods, the WSB report says.

"We found the holster outside. They ransacked both of our vehicles. They opened the glove compartment, the console," said Ashley Jensen, who lives on a main road and was victimized by the burglars, according to the report. "That's scary, that that's what they're after."
