Thieves Broke Into Cars Parked At Funeral Home: Cops

Purses and wallets were stolen from vehicles parked at South Canton Funeral Home on Nov. 3, police said.

CANTON, GA — The Canton Police Department is working to track down the suspects accused of breaking into cars parked at a funeral home. Three cars were broken into on Saturday, Nov. 3 at South Canton Funeral Home at 3147 Marietta Highway, the police department said on its Facebook page.

Each vehicle had a window shattered, and items such as purses, wallets and debit cards were taken from the cars. From what investigators have learned, the time of the thefts occurred between 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Police Chief Mark Mitchell said all three victims told police they were attending a fall festival adjacent to the funeral home, which allowed them to use their parking lot.
