1. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is looking for a 20-year-old female last seen on Tuesday. Makenzie Rose was last seen around Sam Nelson Road and Reinhardt College Parkway at about 7:45 p.m. The clothing she was wearing is unknown, but Rose is described as 4 feet, 10 inches tall and 175 pounds with hazel eyes. 2. There's news on the Highway 20 widening project, with work on the stretch between I-575 and Scott Road likely to continue through the summer. This, the first of several segments, is planned to finish later this summer and will widen Highway 20 to six lanes, to include a 20-foot raised median and sidewalks. The next segment will address the section of road between Scott Road and Union Hill Road, including widening the road to six lanes and adding a median. 3. The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is set to hold the "World's Largest Swim Lesson" on June 22, a global happening at hundreds of aquatic centers, swimming schools and water parks around the world. The event will help teach participants about water safety while having fun at the same time. You can learn more about the event here.
