- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is looking for a 20-year-old female last seen on Tuesday. Makenzie Rose was last seen around Sam Nelson Road and Reinhardt College Parkway at about 7:45 p.m. The clothing she was wearing is unknown, but Rose is described as 4 feet, 10 inches tall and 175 pounds with hazel eyes. If you have any information on the missing woman's location, please reach out to the sheriff at 770-928-0239 or 911. You can reference case SO23-008430. (Cherokee Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
- There's news on the Highway 20 widening project, with work on the stretch between I-575 and Scott Road likely to continue through the summer. This, the first of several segments, is planned to finish later this summer and will widen Highway 20 to six lanes, to include a 20-foot raised median and sidewalks. The next segment will address the section of road between Scott Road and Union Hill Road, including widening the road to six lanes and adding a median. - The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is set to hold the "World's Largest Swim Lesson" on June 22, a global happening at hundreds of aquatic centers, swimming schools and water parks around the world. The event will help teach participants about water safety while having fun at the same time. You can learn more about the event here. The event will run from noon to 12:30 p.m., and participants will need to pay admission into The Oasis, the center's outdoor pool area. (The Georgia Sun and Cherokee County Communications Division)

- Summer Family Film Series, "Strange World" - It's hard to beat $1 movies at the Canton Theatre! The movies in this year's series will be shown twice each Thursday in June and July. You can purchase tickets at the link, the theater address is 171 E. Main St. (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.)
- Community Helpers - Delphi Global Technology!: For all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. Hear what it's like to work in technology. The presentation will include a Q&A session and will be held at the R.T. Jones Memorial Library, 116 Brown Industrial Parkway. (3 - 4 p.m.)
- Team Trivia: Join the trivia fun every Thursday at Sidelines Grille, 6199 Hickory Flat Highway. (7 p.m.)
- Trivia Night: Head over to Reformation Brewery at 225 Reformation Parkway for trivia with Lights Up! Entertainment tonight, prizes for the top 3 winners. (7 - 9 p.m.)
- Mark Mathews: The artist is playing live tonight at the Green Line Brewery, 192 E. Main St. (7 - 10 p.m.)
