Join us at Tellus Science Museum for a day packed with exciting activities designed to help you meet a variety of badge requirements. Each exhibit, lab, and interactive space is tailored to cover topics like geology, astronomy, physical science, and more – making this journey both fun and educational!



<ul><li>Visit our labs to complete themed activities designed to help meet badge requirements for a variety of subjects and ages.</li><li>The one and only Tellus Blue Crew will be making a special appearance in the galleries! Join in on fun, scout-centered hands-on activities.</li><li>The Tellus SASSquad will be in the Theater to perform live science demonstrations. We'll explore the super science of electricity that will make your hair stand on end - it's going to be Scout-acular!</li><li>Catch some rays! Head out to the Observatory from 12 - 4 PM to get a glimpse of our closest star - the Sun. *weather permitting</li></ul>

Rock the Red Door talent show is coming to the Legion Theatre, uniting us for a great cause - supporting the Red Door Food Pantry. Team Meredith has planned an unforgettable evening featuring a Christian Rapper, Cellist, Rubik’s Cube Artist, and a vocalist with a Whitney Houston-esque voice! Show starts at 7:00pm! Come out and donate to vote for your favorite performer. There will be snacks, there will be raffle opportunities, and there will be tons of talent for a good cause! The Bartow History Museum will host its January Lunch &amp; Learn program, Cookbook Authors Who Rose to Fame Through Modern Media, on January 14, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., welcoming Cartersville native Dr. Valerie Holt for a presentation exploring how modern media has propelled cookbook authors to national fame. The program examines how television, blogs, and social media transformed home cooks into household names, tracing the rise of figures such as Joanna Gaines, Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman), Barbara Costello (Brunch with Babs), and Georgia native Trisha Yearwood, and highlighting how each used modern platforms to build massive audiences. Attendees will also get a peek at some of their popular recipes, with samples available, and are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy the presentation. Dr. Holt brings 30 years of public-school teaching experience, including 17 years in Home Economics, national cooking competition experience, authorship of two cookbooks, and her current role as a professor in the School of Education at Berry College.
Admission is free for museum members and $9 for non-members.
