The Bartow History Museum will host Girl Scout Day - Georgia’s Native Peoples Badge on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., offering Junior Girl Scouts (grades 4 - 5) the opportunity to earn the Georgia’s Native Peoples Council’s Own Badge from the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. During this engaging program, participants will explore the history and culture of the Cherokee and Muscogee peoples through storytelling, hands-on crafts, and interactive activities, learning about the tribes’ original homelands in Georgia and their lives before and during Removal. All attending scouts will complete the full badge requirements and receive their badge at the conclusion of the program.

The cost is $20 per scout and $9 per parent or chaperone, registration is required, and space is limited, so advance registration is strongly encouraged.
