State economists say the port is driving job growth across northwest Georgia and helping Savannah reach new markets while boosting nearby communities like Dalton and Rome.
• Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Announces 25-Race Slate for 2026; Now Pays $15,000 for Champion - St. Louis Racing (stlracing.com) — Race fans in Chatsworth can mark their calendars for March 7 and October 9, when the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series returns to North Georgia Speedway with $5,000-to-win and TBA-purse features. The 2026 tour expands to 25 events across five states, boosts its season champion’s payout to $15,000, and adds several new high-profile races throughout the Southeast.
