College Park introduces new AI chatbot assistant on city website (wsbradio.com) — College Park has launched “Parker,” a new AI chatbot on the city website to quickly answer questions about taxes, bills, traffic tickets, hours, and other services. Residents can already use it online, and the city plans to add it to the phone system soon for even easier access to help.

2. Riders Ink DL Davin Vann and DL Saundiata Anderson (oursportscentral.com) — A College Park native, defensive lineman Sundiata Anderson, has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders after a standout career at Grambling State and a stint with the Seattle Seahawks. The CFL team also added NC State defensive lineman Davin Vann, bolstering its defensive front with two productive college veterans.

3. Man Convicted in Federal Court for Trafficking Two Minors After Joint GBI–HSI Investigation (laniercountynewsonline.com) — Law enforcement recently rescued a missing minor from a hotel in College Park during a human trafficking investigation that led to a Decatur man’s federal conviction. The joint GBI and Homeland Security probe uncovered exploitation of two runaway minors, and the trafficker has now been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Authorities urge residents to report any suspected trafficking to Georgia’s hotline.

4. Georgia DOR Publishes Tax Rates for Exempt Sales in Certain Fulton County Area (bloombergtax.com) — College Park residents are indirectly affected by a new Georgia Department of Revenue notice that sets special sales tax-exempt rates for parts of Fulton County outside cities like College Park, Atlanta, Hapeville, and East Point starting January 1, 2026. While College Park itself isn’t in the exempt area, the change may matter if you shop or do business in nearby unincorporated Fulton County, especially for motor vehicles and certain food purchases.
