Man Sentenced To Death In Rape, Killing Of 5-Year-Old GA Girl: Reports
Reports say the now 40-year-old man not only confessed to killing a Georgia girl, but he also admitted to raping and killing his newborn.
PHENIX CITY, AL — An Alabama man was sentenced Monday to four death sentences after pleading guilty and being convicted of kidnapping, raping, sodomizing and killing a 5-year-old Georgia girl, according to several media reports.
Jeremy Williams, 40, was convicted of four counts of capital murder in the 2001 death of Kamarie Holland, of Columbus, per media reports. Holland had been reported missing in Georgia, news reports say.
Twenty years after Holland's death, Williams reportedly gave a Christmas night confession in a five-hour interview with investigators; and though he pleaded guilty in March, news outlet WRBL reported a jury trial must be held for the death penalty to be enacted, per Alabama law.

Williams was accused of coming into contact with Holland after her mother, Kristy Siple, agreed to allow Williams access to Holland for $1,300, AL.com reported.
Siple and Williams had been sexually intimate before Williams grew tired of Siple and asked for Holland instead, AL.com reported. The money was never paid to Siple, the outlet reported.

Williams was accused of recording his behavior with Holland, which reportedly included him forcing her to smoke methamphetamine and perform oral sex.
WRBL reported the 15-minute video was played in court, causing a flow of tears from those in attendance. Williams could be heard "screaming obscenities for her to die," the news outlet reported.
Two Columbus police officers discovered Holland's body in an Alabama basement after receiving a lead from Williams' ex-wife, WRBL reported. At least one of them spoke at the trial, which concluded Wednesday.
In addition to Holland's killing, Williams reportedly admitted to previously raping and killing his 1-month-old daughter - which WTVM said Williams' ex-wife spoke of before his sentencing.
She said December 2021, when he gave his confession, is when she learned of Holland's death and "that's also when she learned that he was responsible for the death of their 1-month-old child and for taking the innocence of her 4-year-old daughter," WTVM reported.
A 23-year-old woman, the final witness, testified she was molested by Williams when she was age 4, WRBL reported.
Williams confessed to his alleged crimes because he "wanted to get right with God before he’s executed," WRBL reported.
Williams' full sentencing was as follows, per WTVM:
- Capital murder for the murder of a child less than 14 years old - death penalty
- Capital murder on one count of kidnapping - death penalty
- Capital murder on one count of rape - death penalty
- Capital murder on one count of sodomy, first degree - death penalty
- Knowingly recording the acts, rape and sodomy - life in prison
- Obstruction of a corpse - 10 years in prison
- Human trafficking - life in prison
- Conspiracy to commit human trafficking - 20 years
Siple pleaded guilty in March to human sex trafficking and could receive up to 20 years in prison, WTVM reported at the time.
"She must also register as a sex offender, pay up to $10,000 in fines, and testify against Williams. According to courtroom documents, in a separate case, she is facing chemical endangerment charges," WTVM reported.
