  1. The Muscogee County School Board called for a recount of their latest election for the District 7 seat. Both candidates Patricia Frey and Laketha Ashe, asked for a recount to give the public more confidence after Tuesday's election ended in 147 votes for Frey and 145 for Ashe. Both Ashe and Frey are newcomers to the Board and wanted to join after the former chair of District 7 resigned in April. (Subscription: Ledger Inquirer)
  2. The Johnny Cash "Concert Experience" will come to Columbus on Mar. 2, 2024. The new multimedia project combines archival footage to bring the late Johnny Cash into more than 85 theaters nationwide. Tickets for the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts showing will go on sale on Jul. 24. (Pollstar)
  3. If you've passed by the Krispy Kreme on Veterans Parkway sometime after Jun. 15, you may have noticed it's currently closed. According to a spokesperson for the donut shop, the store is temporarily closed for a remodel. Though details on the remodel and reopening are limited, the spokesperson reported the Columbus shop is expected to reopen later this summer. (Subscription: Ledger-Enquirer)
