- After delivering his speech at the Georgia GOP Convention on Saturday, Jun. 10, former president Donald Trump spoke about the federal indictment inside a Waffle House on Veterans Parkway in Columbus. While surrounded by supporters at the restaurant, Trump answered a journalist and said he did nothing wrong by keeping the classified documents and that he will make significant changes in current government decisions if elected again. (WRBL)
- Thousands of people gathered in downtown Columbus to support or protest the Georgia GOP Convention over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, Jun. 10, one group of protesters held signs and spoke about former president Donald Trump’s recent indictment along Broadway and 10th Street. Columbus resident Ilene Kent organized the protest, which drew a large crowd from Columbus and surrounding areas including Sandy Springs. (WRBL)
- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place behind Kendrick High School on Georgetown Drive in east Columbus. One individual was transported to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the foot. The investigation is ongoing. (WTVM 9)

- The Columbus Police Department (CPD) announced 31-year-old Carl Creech was sentenced to 60 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of child molestation. According to CPD, Creech will serve 40 of the 60 years in prison and must register as a sex offender upon release. (WRBL)
- Remember to bring an umbrella when going out this week! Several strong storms and rain showers are expected Tuesday through Thursday. Today (Jun. 13) there is a 40 to 50 percent rain coverage with showers and storms. From Tuesday night through Wednesday and possibly Thursday, there is around 70 percent rain coverage. At the height of the storms, there might be localized street and river flooding across the valley. (WTVM 9)
