- Two victims were hospitalized after a shooting on Wednesday, May 31, in the area of Bismark Drive and Buena Vista Road at around 12:17 a.m. According to Columbus Police Department, both victims were in critical condition as of May 31. (WRBL)
- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday, May 30, at Shirley B. Winston Park on Steam Mill Road. At about 8:30 p.m., officers found a 16-year-old shot in the leg. No further information was released as of May 31. (WTVM 9)
- Gas prices have been steady recently, with a gallon of regular gas in the Columbus area at $3.58 on Tuesday, May 30, according to AAA. GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan said the national average during the summer driving season this year will range from $3.35 to $3.85 per gallon. Experts believe the gas prices will stay in the same range, unless there is a natural disaster or refinery outages. (Gwinnett Daily Post)

- Shevonte Joyner was charged in connection to the 2022 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Amari Crowell on Sweetwater Drive in east Columbus. Joyner's preliminary hearing is scheduled in Recorder’s Court on Jun. 2 at 9:00 a.m. (WTVM 9)
- Today, Jun. 1 at 9:00 a.m., Columbus city officials will hold a press conference concerning Juneteenth at Roundtree House on Buena Vista Road in Columbus. The holiday commemorates the freedom of slaves and Columbus will celebrate with the Juneteenth Jubilee on Jun. 17 through Jun. 19. Officials will announce the free festivities at the press conference. (WTVM 9)
