• Authorities searching for relatives of man found dead in Crisp County, coroner says (13wmaz.com) — Cordele police and the Crisp County coroner are asking locals to help find relatives of 61-year-old Walter Anthony Hickman, found dead Tuesday on the 300 block of 9th Avenue in Cordele. No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy in Macon is planned, and anyone who knew Hickman or his family is urged to contact the coroner’s office.
   

• Second officer injured in Tifton officer-involved shooting back home (walb.com) — Cordele police and other local agencies helped welcome home a Tifton officer injured in a Dec. 5 standoff, celebrating a key step in his recovery. Officer Jerry Fulford and Detective Michael Gaskins, both wounded while serving a warrant, are now back home with their families as the community continues to show support.
