  1. The deadline for a $1500 scholarship for high school seniors is coming up on Saturday, Apr. 15. This is the eighth year that the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) offers the scholarship to high-achieving students with a commitment to community service.   3. Locally based Beaver Toyota is one of the many businesses that helped Bulldogs Battling Breast Cancer donate a record breaking amount to St. Mary's Hospital. The program is a free, weeklong, daytime summer camp, and is available for seventh and eighth-graders that are interested in learning what it takes to be a firefighter.
