The Cumming Arts Center has given me a wonderful group of friends who share a love of art in all its forms. It is a very special place to volunteer and members range in age from teenagers to nonagenarians. The CAC is a place to learn, to spend time with friends creating and to volunteer while being surrounded with wonderful artworks created by people you know.
What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?
The Cumming Arts Center quietly and joyfully encourages the creativity of all who visit there. The all-volunteer staff gladly share their talents and knowledge making the CAC a warm and welcoming place to visit. The art classes are outstanding. The artwork displayed is by local artists who are incredibly talented. The gift shop is filled with small handmade, beautiful pieces of art, jewelry, and a wide variety of items that are unique, one-of-a-kind, and perfect for gift giving. All items are made by member artists.
If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?
The Cumming Arts Center is a hidden gem in downtown Cumming (111 Pilgrim Mill Drive) and well worth a visit. The parking lot there is small, but there is also free parking in the city parking garage across the street.
What’s something you love most about your town or community?
