- A 16-year-old teen girl from Cumming died Monday in a single-car crash. According to authorities, the crash occurred at Haw Creek Road, east of Haw Creek Drive. Firefighters and police responded to the scene at about 10:15 p.m. Police say the vehicle did not yield to a curve, crossed the eastbound lane, and struck a utility pole and then a tree. The girl was not wearing a seatbelt. (Cumming Patch)
- A Kohl's in Cumming will soon host a Sephora at Kohl's experience. The shop, meant to mimic the experience of a freestanding Sephora store, is one of 250 such locations to open nationwide, making the total number nationwide 850. - An expansion project of Northside Hospital Forsyth was recognized as one of the top construction projects in the 2023 Build America Awards. The Associated General Contractors of America and Construction Risk Partners join each year to present the Build America Awards, which the organizations say "represent excellence in the construction industry."
