This initiative is a collaborative effort between Forsyth County Schools and Georgia Highlands Medical Services, a recognized community health center with multiple sites in Northern Georgia. - The House Public Health Committee recently approved a bill that seeks to permanently prevent Georgia's local governments from mandating COVID-19 vaccination proof for services. Public Health Chairwoman Sharon Cooper's tie-breaking vote advanced the bill to the House floor. Sponsored by state Sen. Greg Dolezal, Senate Bill 1 aims to eliminate the expiration date on Gov. Two Books and Babies sessions are happening today, Mar. 15, along with a Paws to Read event at 3:30 p.m. for elementary and middle school students.
