Swimming
Swimming qualification races continue with Americans Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin scheduled to compete. Phelps will swim the 100m butterfly β and event he won by .01 seconds in Beijing four years ago. Franklin is slated to compete in the 200m backstroke. Other races include the menβs 50m freestyle and womenβs 800m freestyle.

Canoe/Kayak
The last gold medal in Canoe/Kayakβs slalom will be presented to the winner of the menβs C-2 whitewater final. Slovakian twin brothers Pavol and Peter Hochschorner may win their fourth straight Olympic gold.

Nations from western Europe have dominated this event since 2000 with France, Germany and Great Britain all winning gold. Chris Hoy, a two-time medalist in this event, returns to anchor the host countryβs team.

Men's Water Polo: USA vs. GBR
The United States (2-0) narrowly defeated Romania on Tuesday, with Ryan Bailey and Peter Varellas leading the Americans with three goals apiece. In search of their first gold medal in 108 years, the Americans face host Great Britain, which has yet to win a match in this tournament.

Rowing
More medals will be won at Eton Dorney following the finals of the womenβs eight and menβs lightweight four. Plus, semifinals in four events β the womenβs single and lightweight double sculls, and the menβs four and lightweight four.

Men's Volleyball: USA vs. BRA
A rematch of the 2008 gold-medal game. The U.S. and Brazil are both 2-0 and neither team has dropped a set so far. On Tuesday, the Americans defeated Germany as captain Clay Stanley led Team USA with 13 kills. Also on Tuesday, Brazil beat No. 2 seed Russia as Murilo Endres paced the Brazilians with 11 kills.
