  1. Forsyth County officials say three people were shot over the weekend during a graduation party that turned violent. The incident occurred Saturday at a residence on Milledge Circle, where officers responded to reports of shots fired to discover three individuals with gunshot wounds, including a football player from Mary Persons High School. The victims were taken to two local hospitals but have not been publicly identified due to being between the ages of 16 and 20. (WSB-TV)
  2. The AAA Safe System Summit will be held today (Jun. 7) at the Forsyth Conference Center in Cumming. The conference's purpose is to help traffic safety experts and community leaders eliminate injuries for all road users. State and local officials, local law enforcement, and the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway and Safety are expected to be in attendance. (ValdostaToday.com)
  3. A heroic local man rescued his puppy from a burning building over the weekend. Officials say the man reentered his home, which had caught on fire, in order to save the dog from the building. The individual sustained second-degree burns and was transported to a nearby hospital, but he is expected to make a full recovery. (Forsyth County News via Instagram)
  4. Celebrate the Fourth of July in Forsyth County! The Cumming Fairgrounds will be holding an Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, Jul. 4, from 4:00-10:00 p.m. Fireworks will commence at 9:30 p.m., and a parade will also be held at 10:00 a.m. that morning. (Cumming Fairgrounds via Facebook)
