ATV Plows Through Railing, Injures Three

Three men are in serious condition at a local hospital after sheriff’s deputies say the ATV they were on crashed on the Big Creek Greenway on Saturday night.

Matthew Holbrook, 39, of Cumming was driving the ATV just before midnight when he tried to negotiate a curve on a bridge, deputies said. Holbrook failed to do so and the ATV drove straight into the wooden railing. The ATV plowed through the railing, throwing Holbrook and two others from the ATV in the process.

Speed and alcohol are factors in the accident, investigators said.
