Body Recovered from Submerged Vehicle
Sheriff's deputies believe the woman behind the wheel of the SUV accidentally drove into Lake Lanier, but are investigating the incident.
A 77-year-old Cumming woman was recovered from an SUV which drove into Lake Lanier on Saturday, Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies said.
Reva Jennings was recovered from her silver Toyota Camry by sheriff’s deputies and the Forsyth County Fire Department Dive Team, the sheriff’s office said. The vehicle was completely submerged in the lake at the end of a boat ramp at Tidwell Park.
Detectives believe Jennings accidentally drove into the lake and do not suspect foul play at this time, according to deputies.
