  1. Four of Cumming's public elementary schools rank as the best in the state. A new rankings list by the website Niche analyzed student and teacher data from the U.S. Department of Education to identify the best public schools in the state of Georgia. The four public schools in Cumming that rank the highest include Big Creek Elementary, Brookwood Elementary, Shiloh Point Elementary, and George W. Whitlow Elementary. (Macon Telegraph)
  2. As a reminder, the Medieval Martial Arts class for Teens and Tweens will take place today, Apr. 4., at the Hampton Park Public Library from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Ritterkunst Fechtschule of Medieval Martial Arts and will educate attendees on how knights fought in the Medieval Times. No registration is required, but space is limited. (Forsyth County Library)
  3. The 16th annual Holi celebration turned Cumming's fairgrounds into a kaleidoscope of colors on Saturday. Hosted by the Atlanta chapter of Sewa International, the event drew large crowds of people to celebrate the Hindu festival of colors that marks the dawn of the Spring season. (PR Newswire)
  4. Georgia ranked 36th for prosperity in American Dream Index (ADPI). According to the report by the Legatum Institute and Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, prosperity is measured by factors such as safety, security, personal freedom, business environment, infrastructure, health, and living conditions.
