County Honors 2015 Teacher of the Year
A Forsyth Central High School teacher was given the award during a celebration banquet.

Forsyth County has named Marlo Miranda, an automotive technology teacher at Forsyth Central High School, the 2015 Teacher of the Year. The award was given to Miranda at a banquet on Friday.
Miranda has taught at Central High School since 2004, according to Forsyth County News.
“He’s why people should become a teacher,” Mitch Young, principal at Central High School said, according to the news source. “Not to overplay it, but he really is saving lives, one kid at a time. For some of them who don’t see a use for school, he turns it around.”
