Cumming Business Allegedly Sell, Serve Alcohol To Underage Patrons

A server is at risk of losing her Forsyth County license.

Several Forsyth County businesses allegedly sold alcohol to minors and are appearing on those chargesΒ tonightΒ before the Board of Commissioners at its 5 p.m.Β regular meeting, county spokeswoman Jodi Garder confirmed.Β 

A server also is appealing the suspension of her alcoholΒ serving license after selling to minors, Gardner said.

Here are the details, according to the agenda:

  • Cigar Studio β€œ57” serverΒ Linda Patterson requested anΒ administrative hearing regarding the appeal of the suspension of her alcohol server permit resulting from a citation for underage sales at Cigar Studio β€œ57” located, 1370 Buford Highway, Suite 103, in Cumming, whichΒ is inΒ DistrictΒ 5.

The following businesses are set to appear for administrative hearings on allegations they sold alcohol to minors, aΒ violation of the Forsyth County Alcohol Ordinance, Ordinance No. 68:

  • Cigar Studio β€œ57” LLC, 1370 Buford Highway, Suite 103, Cumming, inΒ DistrictΒ 5;Β named licensee is Ken Pope.
  • MRM Energy, Inc. d/b/a AM/PM Fuels No. 6, 901 Buford Highway, Cumming in District 5;Β named licensee is Ali Mourad.
  • Castleberry Ale House, LLC d/b/a Castleberry Ale House, 5446 Bethelview Road, Suite 102, Cumming, in District 3;Β named licensee is Christine Martines.
  • AJ Energy 8 LLC d/b/a BP Gas Station, 2280 Canton Highway, Cummingm in District 1;Β named licensee is Ayad Jaber.
  • Sterling USA Inc. d/b/a Leon’s Food Mart, 5410 Matt Highway, Cumming, in District 4;Β named licensee is Hussain Budhani.
  • GGT Group LLC d/b/a Mia Ristorante Italiano, 2300 Bethelview Road, Suites 104 and 105, in Cumming, in District 1;Β named licensee is Giuseppe Grella.
