- The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Phase 2 of Lanierland Park on Aug. 19 at 9:00 a.m. The new amenities include tennis and pickleball courts, baseball/softball fields, an all-inclusive playground, a walking path, and a dedicated field for Miracle League participants. - Amy S. Hobbs, a Georgia native and attorney, shares her mother's inspiring story of unwavering faith and courage with her book, "The Bucket List Journey Home." Raised in Vidalia and now residing in Cumming with her family, Hobbs held a book signing event on Aug. 11, at Adams Drugstore to showcase her book, which is available on various online platforms including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart.
