Cumming Man Arrested for Fatal Wreck
Vincent Sams allegedly T-boned another vehicle at McFarland Parkway and Ga. 400, fatally injuring the other car's driver.

A Cumming man has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide for his role in a traffic accident which killed a Gainesville man last week, Forsyth County sheriffβs deputies announced Tuesday.
Vincent Sams, 53, is facing charges of second degree vehicular homicide, failure to obey a traffic control device, and failure to use due regard while operating a motor vehicle, deputies said.
Sams was behind the wheel of a 2011 Ford Mustang that t-boned a 2006 Toyota Corolla that was attempting to turn from eastbound McFarland Parkway on to the Ga. 400 northbound on-ramp just before noon Nov. 17, deputies said last week. Franklin Smith, 49 of Gainesville, died later that afternoon from injuries he received in the crash.

Investigators said last week that they believe Smith had the green arrow when he was hit.
