- A Cumming man is accused of taking $25,000 from customers in a fence scam. According to a probable cause affidavit, Christopher Michael Graver, of Cumming, took nine down payments on fences for more than $25,000 while failing to complete the work. The warrant for his arrest was issued in February and Graver turned himself in on Saturday in Florida. (Inside Lake)
- Congratulations to Forsyth Central High School's Team OTTO! The team competed with over 600 other teams from around the world at the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship in Houston. Their division win, and performance on the Einstein field, tied them for a fifth-place finish in the entire world. (Forsyth Central High School via Facebook)
- Coal Mountain Elementary shouted out Ms. Mathis, its cafeteria manager, who represented Coal Mountain at the GSNA Conference last week. - Two highly anticipated restaurants are opening this week in Forsyth County. New food is coming to Forsyth County in the form of restaurants Wright and Whataburger. Local fish-and-chippery Wright, as well as a new Whataburger location, is opening on Apr. 27. Wright is located in the Cumming City Center while Whataburger is located on Lakeland Plaza.
