  1. Michael Garcia-Roig, who practices at the Cumming, Decatur, and Sandy Springs Offices of Georgia Urology, was named on a list of Top Doctors by The Atlantic magazine. The list was generated for The Atlantic by Professional Research Service. The annual honors are for outstanding patient care. (Investors Observer)
  2. Calling all mystery fans and amateur detectives! Sixth on a list of "23 Dark True Crime Stories from the Deep South," reported by Crystal Ro, of Buzzfeed, is a case of the mysterious death of Cumming resident, Tamala Horford. Tamala was found dead in the backyard of a home in which she had been attending a party. The death was ruled accidental, but there are those who remain unconvinced. What do you think? (BuzzFeed)
  3. Mark Cassell, of Cumming, was recently promoted professionally by Arrow Exterminators. In his new position of senior vice president of operations, he will serve on the executive committee as the lead of operations in North Atlanta, East Georgia, South Texas and Arizona, and North Texas.   4. Wyatt Crowell, of Cumming, who competed for the FSU Seminoles for three seasons, was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth round on Monday afternoon, as number 127 in the first-year players' draft. He will start in MLB in the 2023 season. (WTXL ABC 27 Tallahassee News)
  5. USA Cycling has revealed its roster of 32 athletes who will represent the United States in the road race and time trial events at the upcoming 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Artem Schmidt, of Cumming, appears in the U23 Men's Division. The championships, known as the 'super worlds,' will feature 13 separate world championships held over 11 days, with the road events scheduled from Aug. 5-12. (Outside Magazine)
