Cumming Wings Restaurant Fails Health Inspection

The wings restaurant failed a previous inspection in April and allegedly displayed an out-of-date inspection result for customers.

A Cumming wings restaurant is in trouble with health inspectors after it failed its second inspection in seven months, documents show.

J Buffalo Wings on Market Place Boulevard scored a 39 during its inspection on Oct. 27, according to the inspection form on file with Forsyth County. The inspector noticed the person in charge slicing ready to eat food with bare hands, ready-to-eat food stored next to raw meat, cooked poultry not stored at the proper temperature, and an employee’s medicine stored next to food contact surfaces.

Other violations included a bottle of chlorine stored next to food contact surfaces, raw chicken being thawed at a meat sink at room temperature, and the person in charge not actively controlling food service practices.

The failed inspection is nothing new for J Buffalo Wings, which scored a 50 on an inspection in April.

WSB-TV reports that J Buffalo Wings was displaying an inspection form from October 2014 which showed a score of 90 in the days following the inspection which saw them earn a true score of 39.
