Deputies Forced to Shoot Dogs During Arrest
Three dogs allegedly attacked deputies attempting to arrest a drug suspect in Cumming.

One dog was killed and two others were wounded by Forsyth County sheriffβs deputies after they say the dogs attacked them as they were trying to apprehend a drug suspect, the sheriffβs office announced Thursday.
According to the sheriffβs office, deputies were attempting to arrest a woman who was trying to hide drugs in her home when her dogs attacked. One deputy was injured by the dogs. After the shooting, all three dogs were taken to a local veterinary hospital where one was put to sleep. The other two are recovering and are being quarantined, the sheriffβs office said.
Leigh Ann Kennedy, 47, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II methylphenidate with intent, possession of schedule IV alprazolam with intent, possession of schedule IV tramadol with intent,possession of methamphetamine, possession of amphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug related objects.
