Deputy Directing Traffic in the Rain Gets Heartwarming Gift

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said the gesture was one of the reasons why living and working in the county is "awesome."

A Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy who was directing traffic in Wednesday morning’s wet and generally unpleasant weather received a pleasant surprise from a passing motorist, the sheriff’s office announced on Facebook.

“To the guy in black Chevy Tahoe that just offered up his umbrella to the deputy directing traffic in the rain, you rock,” the post on social media said. “Thank you for being one of the reasons that Forsyth County is awesome.”

Although the deputy could not use the umbrella as he needed both hands to direct traffic, “the thoughtfulness of it all made our deputy’s day!,” the sheriff’s office said.
