  1. Dutch Monkey Doughnuts in Cumming recently used social media to locate a customer who mistakenly received a gluten-containing donut. The donut was sold under the "gluten-friendly" menu, but it contained barley malt in its egg adornment. The donut shop posted an urgent alert on Facebook seeking the customer's contact information, which was successful in finding the customer. (Yahoo! News)
  2. A 26-year-old man from Cumming was arrested for alleged stalking after a domestic dispute on Mar. 29. Antonio Criner had previously been arrested on Feb. 19 on charges of felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, and misdemeanor cruelty to children. During the more recent incident, it was discovered Criner had allegedly installed a Life360 app to stalk the mother of his children, which led to his charge of felony aggravated stalking and violation of a family violence order.   3. Niche, a rating and review site, released its 2023 ranking of the best public elementary schools in Georgia, which is based on student and teacher data from the US Department of Education and online reviews from the community. Seven of the top 10 schools are from Forsyth County. A total of 1,852 Georgia public elementary schools were evaluated. (Forsyth County News)
  4. A photo shared by the Forsyth County Animal Shelter of two caged dogs left outside garnered emotional reactions on Facebook. The shelter is closed to the public while it awaits a state inspection, and it is not expected to reopen until next week. The shelter posted a message thanking the person who left the dogs and asking the public for more information about the pair. (WFMY)
