Family Dog Died From Hanging: Necropsy
Forsyth County sheriff's deputies continue to look for those responsible for killing the dog near Lake Lanier last month.

CUMMING, GA -- A pathologist has determined the cause of death of the family dog who was found dead in a park near Lake Lanier late last month, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.
“The preliminary necropsy results showed that the death was caused by hanging,” sheriff’s office spokesman Epifiano Rodriguez told Patch.
Two hikers on a trail in Bethel Park in Gainesville discovered the body of the female boxer mix attached to a fallen tree by a rope on the morning of Nov. 21.

Rodriguez said last month that the evidence at the scene led investigators to believe the dog was killed intentionally, but added Wednesday that sheriff’s deputies have yet to identify any suspects.
