Forsyth County Approves New Principals at Two High Schools

Five schools in Cumming area will welcome new administrators in the fall.

Forsyth County’s Board of Education has approved administrative moves, placing new principals in five Cumming area schools for the 2015-16 school year, including South Forsyth High School and North Forsyth High School.

North Forsyth High School principal Beth Hebert will become the FCPS director of human resources next year, triggering a few moves for local administrators.

Jeff Cheney, the current South Forsyth High principal, will move to North Forsyth High. His position at South Forsyth will be filled by Laura Wilson, currently the school’s assistant principal.

Liberty Middle School will also welcome a new principal. Cheryl Riddle, the current assistant principal at Little Mill Middle School will replace Connie Stovall who will become a director of teaching and learning at the central office.

Vickery Creek Middle School principal Kathy Rohacek is retiring and will be replaced by Drew Hayes, the current assistant principal at Riverwatch Middle School.

Derrick Hershey will be the new principal at Shiloh Point Elementary School, replacing Rebecca Johnson who will be a director of teaching and learning at the central office. Hershey is the current assistant principal at Vickery Creek Elementary School.
