Forsyth County Public Schools Change Evening Schedule

A winter storm is expected to hit Cumming Friday evening, bringing possible snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Students in Forsyth County returned to classes on Friday for the first time this week after predicted snow storms forced public schools to cancel classes.

But while the schools will remain open all day on Friday, the county has canceled all after school activities and athletics, including the Georgia High School Association basketball playoff games.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a winter storm warning for possible snow, sleet and freezing rain for areas in North Georgia, including Cumming.
