- Longtime Forsyth resident hopes to honor her late grandmother. Lena Lentz plans to open a local art and music studio in Forsyth County to honor her grandmother's memory. Lentz grew up in Moldova and Ukraine where she often heard her grandmother singing. (Forsyth County News Online)
- Forsyth County Sheriff's Office added another deputy to their troop. On Monday, the FCSO family added Deputy Sheriff II, Gerry McIntyre. - Big Creek Elementary School is hosting a Fine Arts Night tonight on Apr. 27 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the gym, featuring student artwork and a chorus spring show at 6:00 p.m. To purchase artwork, visit the website provided and choose the student's grade and homeroom, select the artwork, add it to the cart, and share it on social media or email. - Developers presented their official proposal of The Gathering at South Forsyth to county commissioners — but were met with questions and concerns. Specifically, Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills expressed concern about possible financial burdens on the county. The multi-year, multi-billion project will feature new restaurants, shops, and more.
