Forsyth Schools SAT Scores Highest in Georgia

All Forsyth County high schools and the district surpassed Georgia's SAT averages, and all school scores also were higher than the national average.

For the first time in the history of Forsyth County Schools, the district has earned the highest Scholastic Aptitude Test scores in the state of Georgia. 

For the fifth year, all Forsyth County high schools and the district surpassed Georgia’s SAT averages in 2013 results. This year, all school scores also were higher than the national average. 

“Having the highest SAT scores in the state of Georgia is something that we are so very proud of for our students, staff and community," Superintendent L.C. "Buster" Evans said in a release. “This reflects extremely hard work done over several years.

"I am also proud that our number of test takers has increased. We continue to believe that the SAT reflects a myriad of educational experiences in an child's life, so frankly this is an accomplishment that all educators, and students and their families can celebrate." 

Forsyth County Schools tested 117 additional students, bringing the total test takers up to 1,788 and increasing the district average by 12 points.

The SAT, a measure of the developed verbal and mathematical abilities important for success in college, is given to students all across the country.
