Forsyth Sheriff's Deputy Rescues Turtle in Road
The daring rescue was made on Ronald Reagan near South Forsyth High School while traffic was stopped at a red light.

A Forsyth County turtle has a sheriff’s deputy to thank for whisking him away from a dangerous roadway near a high school.
The sheriff’s department posted a Facebook message it received from a user who noticed the deputy stopped at a red light on Ronald Reagan Boulevard near South Forsyth High School. The witness saw the deputy turn on his lights, exit his patrol car, and pick up what looked like a turtle. The deputy then took his new friend across the street to some very tall weeds by a fence.
The sheriff’s department confirmed the eyewitness account and identified the turtle rescuer as Deputy Eaton.
